Your power bill is going up by almost 10% on April 1st. The NBEUB has given NB Power an interim 9.8% rate increase for residential customers. N.B. Power CEO Lori Clark said in an email statement to CBC News on Friday afternoon “We understand that raising rates is not something anyone wants, particularly when customers are already facing the rising cost of basic necessities,” then said the increase is necessary to provide customers with reliable power “during this time of unprecedented challenges and volatility.” More: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/eub-approves-nb-power-rate-increase-april-2024-1.7145330
