The New Brunswick government says children aged five to 11 are now eligible to receive a booster shot of Pfizer’s bivalent COVID-19 vaccine that targets the Omicron variant. Public Heath is encouraging parents to get their children the booster dose to help slow the spread of COVID-19 as the winter months bring increased cases of respiratory illnesses.

Town of Riverview Christmas Tree Pick Up Info: During the week of January 9, 2023, place your natural tree curbside on your regular pick-up day for collection. Please ensure that all decorations, tinsel and lights are removed from the tree. (Due to demand, your tree may be collected a few days after your regular waste pick-up day.) Meanwhile, as we now officially enter the winter months, Town officials request that residents place garbage bags a few feet from the end of their driveways, not on top of snow banks. If not possible, please reduce the size of your snow bank before placing bags to reduce the risk of injury for both residents and waste collectors. Please keep in mind the winter parking ban which prohibits parking on Town streets from midnight to 7 a.m. until March 31.
ICYMI: The Village of Salisbury says that the New Brunswick Department of Transportation and Infrastructure has made the decision to CLOSE Route 106, Main Street, in Salisbury at the location of the culvert for McNaughton Brook between Larsen Lane and Parkin Street. Officials say the closure is because of “the rapidly eroding roadbed at that location following another weekend of significant rainfall and snow-melt”. That section of road is closed until further notice and there is detour signage set up.
