The city of Moncton is reminding skaters that if you’re using the new Ian Fowler Oval downtown, there’s not any hockey or ringette allowed on the ice surface…it’s just meant for fun skating…and they’d like to see skaters using CSA approved helmets. The skating oval in the Avenir Centre plaza is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., weather permitting.

Did you hear about Tydecoyn? It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to invest in New Brunswick’s local environment – AND, it’s completely made up. Can you spot the red flags of this scam? https://t.co/tzQuH3wsQr pic.twitter.com/HORRq2tZXv

New Brunswick’s Financial and Consumer Services Commission says thousands of people have visited a fake investment scheme website that was set up to educate people about real investment scams. The commission created TydeCoyn.ca, a website about a chance to invest in Atlantic Canada’s first cryptocurrency token that involves tourism promotion and environmental activism. It says the website was created to show potential investors all the red flags they should watch for to avoid scams, such as vague wording, false testimonials and a countdown clock. More than 45-hundred people have visited the site since October, and 222 people who sought to invest or get more information were considered as potential victims.

This is kinda funny…A Rothsay High teacher thought that the new PC government had changed the rules about chocolate milk at school and gave some kids the thumbs up to sell it as a student council fundraiser in between periods (and now those kids are all IN JAIL!!! jk >T) An Anglophone South spokesperson says that it was an error and it’s no longer happening. During the election now Premier Blaine Higgs said he would reverse the chocolate milk ban but that hasn’t happened yet.
