That blue green algae they found in the Turtle Creek water supply reservoir the last couple of summers might affect your water bill…both Moncton and Dieppe aren’t really sure what will happen until budget stuff is over and done with but the Town of Riverview says that Moncton is going to start charging them more and they may have to pass some of that increase along to residents. The Town’s Director of Finance tells the CBC that if the full increase were to get passed along residents bills might go up $30-$40 a year.

Riverview RCMP said yesterday that they responded to a report of an accident near Petitcodiac on Friday and arrived on scene to find a vehicle in a ditch on the Wheaton Settlement Road…and then they saw what they thought was illegal tobacco in the vehicle…so they investigated some more…it turns out that the guy had more than 60,000 contraband cigarettes and a quantity of what is believed to be crystal methamphetamine tablets. Whoops! A 43-year-old man from Moncton was arrested. He was remanded into custody and will appear in Moncton Provincial Court at a later date.
