The price of gas is down 2.1¢ this morning. The new maximum for regular self serve is $1.25.6 a litre. Diesel and furnace oil are both down 1.1¢. Propane dropped a cent to new maximum of $1.06.5.

NB Liquor says that Cannabis NB sales hit $940,000 in the first 48 hours last week…CEO Brian Harriman says that in store sales were $872,758n for October17-18 and online was $71,083. Moncton based marijuana producer Organigram says that by day two they were being contacted to produce more product. Read more HERE.

A committee has recommended that Dieppe City Council get a substantial pay increase…if council accepts the recommendations the current mayor’s salary would go from just under $36,000 this year to almost $48,000 next year…and by 2024 the mayor would make $78,000 a year. Councillors salaries would go from the current $16,800 to over $31,000 a year by 2024. Compared with other salaries in Greater Moncton, Riverview Mayor Ann Seamans currently makes just under $32,000 and Moncton Mayor Dawn Arnold is making $85,662 this year.
