Today is “Marijuana Day”… Here are some of the facts…Adults 19 and older will be able to legally buy up to 30 grams of cannabis from a Cannabis NB retail store, have up to 30 grams of dried cannabis or its equivalent in their possession when outside their home and grow up to four plants at their primary residence…It will be against the law to consume cannabis in a public place or in a motor vehicle, whether it’s moving or not….Recreational cannabis will also be available to order online through Cannabis NB….The 20 stand-alone stores will operate at the same hours as NB Liquor. Insiders say gas prices could drop as much as four cents tonight when the EUB resets prices…but diesel and home heating oil are still heading in the other direction…already at a nearly five year high they could be heading up another cent. Regular self serve has been selling for just under $1.28 this week here in the city.

Wild weather day yesterday…at one point there were 17,000 power outages in the province…this morning NB Power’s website says that it’s down to less than 100…including only 5 or 6 in Southeast NB…

Sainte-Marie-de-Kent’s Lukas Comier @CormierLukas will play for Canada at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. Cormier was drafted by Charlottetown in the Q this year but spent last year with Atlantic champion Moncton AAA Flyers. Also named to the team was Moncton Wildcats forward Elliott Desnoyers from Quebec. The tournament goes Nov 3-10 I Saint John & Quispamsis.

Cody Bellinger singled home the winning run in the 13th inning, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers 2-1 to tie the N-L Championship Series at two games apiece. The game took 5 hours & 15 minutes! Earlier in the day, Jackie Bradley Junior hit a grand slam off former Blue Jay Roberto Osuna in the eighth inning and Boston downed the Astros 8-2 to take a 2-1 lead in the ALCS.
