Moncton traffic note for the weekend…
The City of Moncton said yesterday that there is now blue-green algae in the Mapleton park Pond and in Jones Lake, so there are no water activities allowed there and please don’t let your pets play in the water or drink it. The Irishtown Reservoir and Centennial Park Pond also have blue-green algae advisories.

A man from Haute-Aboujagane and a woman from Dieppe have been arrested for drug and weapons offences. RCMP searched a home in Haute-Aboujagane on Wednesday night and seized a loaded rifle as well as small quantities of what is believed to be marijuana, and an “unidentified powdered substance”. The 30-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested and released. They have a court date in December.

The Ocean Festive Atlantic Seafood Festival begins today and happens through Sunday at Parlee Beach Provincial Park in Shediac.
It’s a gigantic seafood, wine, beer, & music festival with the largest inflatable play area in the history of New Brunswick!
