Gas prices are set to go even higher this week…insiders are predicting a 2 cent increase when the EUB resets prices. Regular self serve is selling for just under $1.30 at some places in Greater Moncton this week.

Please note that there will be a lane reduction for westbound traffic on Champlain Street, between Paul Street and Wheeler Boulevard (Moncton), on Wednesday, May 23. This lane reduction is necessary in order to allow for work on the natural gas infrastructure.

At Moncton City Council last night Greg Turner was elected Deputy Mayor for 2018-2019.
The City of Moncton passed the new booting bylaw at council last night…so as of June 29th it’s a maximum charge of $45 to have a boot removed from your vehicle. The new rules also state that booting companies have to ensure employees are available to remove the device within 30 minutes and they must accept cash, debit or credit card for payment.
Meanwhile…The City of Moncton has plans to unveil a new web parking guide to help people attending events at the downtown center. According to a Times Transcript interview, Kevin Silliker – the city’s economic development officer – says there are now almost 3-thousand parking spaces available for the downtown centre compared to 18-hundred at the Coliseum. The spaces include over five hundred city owned spaces, a thousand non-metered spaces, and four hundred spaces on private lots. Silliker’s numbers also include 300 spaces reserved for season ticket holders, and six hundred metered spaces .
