A 38 year old Moncton man has been charged with second degree murder in the death of a woman on Fleet Street last Friday. Rejean Gautreau was arrested Sunday and was remanded until his next court appearance on April 23rd. Police didn’t release any other details but say the investigation continues.

Last week we found out that Moncton Centre MLA & House Speaker Chris Collins had been suspended from the liberal caucus over harassment allegations…yesterday him lawyer told the media that Collins intends to fight the accusations “tooth & nail”. Lawyer TJ Burke even says that it may be a political stunt to keep Collins from running for re-election in his Moncton riding in September. Burke says that Collins is devastated by the whole episode. He says Collins has also been given no information on the nature of the allegation, when it is alleged to have occurred, or who made it.
The Atlantic Wellness Community Centre is opening a free youth mental health clinic beginning next Monday, April 16th. The clinic will operate at the centre at 225 Lutz Street in Moncton and will be in operation Monday’s between 4-8 pm for youth ages 12-21. – 62 Hildegard: The departure time from North Plaza on the first trip only, Monday to Saturday, will change from 6:45am to 6:40am, arriving at the Casino at 6:45am.
64-B Hospitals: The mid-day trip starting from 1111 Main at 11:15am will arrive at the Moncton Hospital at 11:32am instead of 11:30am. The 11:55am mid-day trip starting from 1111 Main will arrive at the Moncton Hospital at 12:12pm instead of 12:10pm.
70 Mapleton: This bus will now arrive and depart from South Plaza. Routing as follows: South Plaza, Plaza, Mapleton, Trans-Canada Highway, Gorge, King’s Bridge, Château, Gorge, Mountain, Evergreen, Glencairn, Lonsdale, Mountain, Plaza, and South Plaza.
