At the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea…
It’s a silver medal for the Canadian women’s hockey team…the game ended in a tie and then it took six shootout rounds for the USA to beat us. That’s the first loss for Canada at the Olympics since 1998.
Men’s Hockey: Canada will play Germany in one semi final and the Olympic Athletes from Russia with play the Czech Republic in the other…it looks like the Canada game will go at 8:10 am our time tomorrow..
Men’s Curling: Kevin Koe’s rink lost to the U.S this morning in the semi finals…Koe will play Switzerland for the Bronze medal early tomorrow morning…about 2:35 am our time…and the U.S. moves on to face Sweden in the gold medal game.

Great news for parents in the west end of Moncton yesterday. Premier Gallant announced plans for a new school to replace two schools built back in the 50’s. The premier says 1.5 million dollars has been set aside for a “state of the art” school, which will replace Hillcrest and Bessborough schools. exactly where the school will be built or what it will be named was not announced.

Codiac RCMP is looking for help identifying a man and woman who may have information related to an assault investigation. Back on January 31st, shortly before 9 p.m., the man and woman were seen at the Dairy Queen on Coverdale Road in Riverview. A short time later, they were also observed outside the Irving gas station, also on Coverdale Road. Police are releasing surveillance photos from the businesses in an attempt to identify and locate both the man and woman. Mounties say they’re not suspects…but that they may have information about an assault.
