Gas prices are supposed to go UP by about a cent tonight. Regular self serve has been selling for about $1.11 at a lot of places around the city the last week.
Diesel and furnace oil are predicted to jump up close to 3 cents tonight! Diesel is already has a maximum price of just over $1.30 here in the province…

The province says that you can now apply for the 2018 Home Energy Assistance Program to help low-income families cope with high energy bills. The one-time payment of $100 is provided to households with a total income of up to and including $30,000 in 2016. There were 46,834 applications for the Home Energy Assistance Program in 2017 for a total benefit to families of about $4.68 million.

The semifinals are set at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Buffalo…The United States will battle Sweden in the first semi on Thursday at 5 p.m. our time…and Canada will face the Czech Republic in the second one at 9 p.m. Atlantic. Canada beat Switzerland in quarterfinal action 8-2 last night.
Final score 92-82 for Saint John. The Magic played hard but went through a bit of an offensive drought in the 4th. On to the next one!

NBL action last night the Saint John Riptide held the Moncton Magic to their lowest offensive output of the year as knocked off the Magic 92-82.
Saint John has now won three of four meetings with Moncton this season.
