Two Moncton sisters are bringing home a world championship! Jenny and Britney Snowdon played key roles in the Team Canada Juniors capturing the the World Ringette Championship in Mississauga. Britney scored twice while Jenny was named game MVP as Canada beat Finland in the title game 9-6.

We jammed a Codiac Transpo Bus full of your toy donations for kids in Greater Moncton and now they’re getting ready to be distributed by the Salvation Army! A reminder that it is now illegal to park on the street overnight in most places around Greater Moncton. The Winter parking ban is in effect and that means you’ll get fined or have your vehicle towed if you leave it on the street between midnight and 7am.

The 20th annual Sue Stultz & Local 999 Moncton Firefighter Association turkey drive is happening…yesterday they held their Turkey Trot fun run and closed the day with 864 turkeys! Their goal is 4,241 turkeys so they need to average 675 a day this week to hit the turkey target! You can donate down back at the St. George Blvd fire station across from the entrance to Centennial Park.

The slumping Moncton Wildcats lost two at the Coliseum on the weekend…4-3 to Cape Breton on Friday night…and 4-2 to Rouyn-Noranda on Saturday….and then lost again yesterday 6-3 on the road in Bathurst. The Cats have lost 8 in a row and play at Blainville-Broisbriand on Thursday night.
